Muted Reflections on Merino Wool and Tencel

Hand painted 80/20 Merino/Tencel wool roving for spinning and felting in Three Waters Farm colorway Muted Reflections. 4 ounces.

This tencel has been dyed black and swirled with white Merino wool. Tencel is a type of rayon.

The first photo is two braids wound together; the next four photos are all of the same braid.

Merino occupies the most exalted place in the fiber world. A long stapled fiber with exuberant bounce and memory, it is perfect for spinning. The fineness of merino makes it perfect for felting. This merino is swirled with 20 percent black tencel.
