Mary Ann came from Ohio to North Carolina in 1978 to attend Duke University where she studied Photography and Art History. Since graduating from Duke in 1982, Mary Ann has been a photographer, a teacher, a flower and vegetable grower, a shepherd, a cheesemaker, a baker, a soapmaker, a spinner, dyer, and weaver.
