Starry Night Scarf Pattern
Another innovative knitting pattern from Lynne Vogel.
This long band of Four Pointed Stars is dressed up with an asymmetrical pointed edging.
Lynne used 6 colorways of handpainted roving from Three Waters Farm (
Mediterranean,
African Sunset,
Lounge Lizard,
Radicchio,
City Nights and
Black Hollyhocks.) She spun the yarn, plying the colorways in various combinations. Each star is knit with a different color combination. You can achieve a similar color effect by double stranding handpainted sock weight yarns. Try our

YARN: any worsted weight yarn: Allow 300 yards overall.
GAUGE: 4 sts per inch, 8 rows per inch in garter stitch
NEEDLES: One pair US size 8 (5mm), or size to obtain desired gauge.
Scarf knit with other size yarns or needles will be appropriately larger or smaller depending.
