La Grande is a fingering weight superwash merino yarn that knits at 6-8 stitches to the inch on a needle sized 1 to 3. Each skein is 300 yards. Being a slightly heavier fingering weight makes it a great yarn for boot socks -- thick, but not too thick -- as well as a great yarn for a new sock knitter since it can be knit on a slightly larger needle.
